Our pipeline builds on validated regenerative macrophage biology across two therapeutic approaches — an ex vivo cell therapy and a next-generation in vivo programme.
Regenerative Macrophage Therapy: One Biology, Two Medicines
Building on the evidence generated through our lead programme RTX001 and the MATCH Phase 2 trial, Resolution Therapeutics is developing a next-generation in vivo Regenerative Macrophage Therapy (RMT). This programme applies the same validated biology — monocyte-derived regenerative macrophages — through a novel delivery approach: Lipid Nano Particles (LNPs) encapsulating proprietary nucleic acid payloads, which is administered by intravenous infusion and programmes therapeutic macrophages inside the patient, without the need for cell collection or manufacturing.
The in vivo RMT programme is designed to extend the penetration of RMT in a broader patient population and in particular liver cirrhosis patients, including compensated cirrhosis, where options for patients are still limited. Together, RTX001 and our in vivo programme represent two distinct medicines built on a single biological platform — extending the reach of regenerative macrophage therapy to a broader patient population.
