Previous trials
Regenerative Macrophage Therapy has previously been shown to be well tolerated and efficacious in clinical studies led by Professor Stuart Forbes at the University of Edinburgh. MATCH (“Macrophage As Treatment for CirrHosis”), a multicentre, open-label, Phase 2, randomized controlled (ISRCTN10368050), showed non-engineered macrophages were well tolerated and significantly improved transplant-free survival in patients with advanced cirrhosis.
