We are thrilled that the 1-year data from The University of Edinburgh’s MATCH trial has been published in the prestigious journal Nature Medicine.

The MATCH trial is a phase 2, open-label, randomized controlled study exploring the use of autologous, non-engineered macrophage therapy for the treatment of liver cirrhosis. The results show that none of the 27 patients who received the macrophage therapy experienced severe liver-related complications or deaths in the year following treatment, while 5 of 24 patients in the control group had severe complications, and 2 died due to liver-related issues. At Resolution Therapeutics, we are proud to further develop this innovative therapy to unlock the full transformative potential of macrophages.

This research set the foundation for our EMERALD trial, a first-in-human, open-label Phase 1/2 interventional study, which is currently recruiting in the UK.

Congratulations to Professor Stuart Forbes and his team for these fantastic results!
